    Understanding the needs of our communities

    We surveyed 29,000 community members and received over 80,000 individual comments from our customers about what is important to them.

    Shopping centres are important places for people to meet and form a community. In 2016 Scentre Group undertook mass market research to better understand the needs of the communities in which we operate. We asked our shoppers what was important to them, their families and their local communities. Across the country, we engaged 29,000 respondents and obtained over 80,000 individual comments from our shoppers. They were passionate in sharing their views on what their communities need.

    We have listened and will use this valuable feedback to guide our future community initiatives. At the same time, we recognise great community value in this research. Later in 2017 we will share this research with other organisations and interested parties who can use the information for the benefit of their communities.
